Chandrababu's fight fetches another Rs.2000 Cr for AP

New Delhi, Feb 26, 2015: Daunted by TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu over the allegedly meager allocations made by the 14th Finance Commission to the state, the Centre has allotted another Rs. 2000 Cr to AP. To appease the AP Chief Minister, Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu has found a way out. When Venkaiah came to know that a fund of Rs.1800 Cr was lying unutilised in his ministry, he had immediately sought permission from PM Modi for its transfer to AP. Narendra Modi immediately okayed his proposal. Additionally, Venkaiah also convinced the Finance Ministry to transfer another Rs.1000 Cr to AP from some other account for which Modi had also agreed. The fund of Rs.2000 Cr was immediately kept aside for AP bringing cheers on the face of Chandrababu Naidu. However, this may also not suffice to AP and the AP Chief Minister is bound to keep asking for more.
