Raj Bhavan has no Telangana IAS officer; Govt feels the pinch!

Hyderabad, Feb 25, 2015: Telangana Government is handicapped by the absence of a Telangana IAS officer in Raj Bhavan. Because of this, all files relating to Telangana are moving at a snail's pace in the Raj Bhavan. According to a news story published by a national news paper, the two IAS officers working in the Raj Bhavan as advisers to Governor ESL Narasimhan are from Andhra Pradesh. Telangana Government officials feel that senior IAS officers Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar and Basanth Kumar are not acting on the Telangana files immediately leading to the delay in clearing matters relating to the state. Telangana Government officials do not particularly blame the two AP IAS officers but they have their own doubts over delay in the files reaching Governor Narasimhan for final clearance. Reports said Telangana Government has decided to ensure that a Telangana IAS officer is appointed to assist the Governor on its behalf.
