Who will be next DGP of TS?

Hyderabad, Feb 26, 2015: Telangana Government is all set to recommend a list of six senior IPS officers to UPSC to enable it shortlist three names for selecting the next full time DGP of the state. Considering the seniority and administrative experience, Chief Minister KCR has decided to recommend six names including those of the present stop-gap DGP Anurag Sharma and Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy director Aruna Bahuguna. The other four IPS officers are T.P.Das, S.A.Huda, Durga Prasad and A.K.Khan. The UPSC will scrutinise the list thoroughly and recommend three names. From it, the state Government will be at liberty to zero in on one officer depending on its priorities. The officer chosen by the Government will become the full time DGP of the state and will take charge from the temporary DGP Anurag Sharma.
