AP EAMCET on May 10 : Min Ganta

Visakhapatnam, Feb 25, 2015: The EAMCET (Engineering,Agriculture, Medicine Common Entrance Test) 2015 for candidates in AP will be held on May 10.The examination will be conducted by the JNTU at Kakinada. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced this at a press conference here today. Ganta said that ECET and PECET will be held on May 14, ICET on May 16, PGCET on May 25, EdCET on May 28 and LawCET on May 30. The minister disclosed Government has decided to conduct all these examinations on its own for students in the state without linking the issue to Telangana following requests from parents and students. "Actually, as per the bifurcation Act, a common test should have been held by AP and Telangana simultaneously. That could have benefited students of both states," he said, adding that Telangana Government has not cooperated on the issue. He also said those who want to join institutions in Hyderabad should appear for the EAMCET to be conducted by Telangana Government on May 14. A committee is being formed with representatives of universities and higher education council to conduct the EAMCET, Ganta has said.
