Tremors rock several villages in Guntur, Prakasam districts

Ongole, Feb 25, 2015: Tremors were felt in several villages of Guntur and Prakasam districts early Wednesday morning and panicked people came out of their houses. The tremors were felt for 3 to 4 seconds at Ongole, Cheemakurti, Chinaganjam, Inkollu, Korisapadu, Marturu, Addanki,Santamagulru, Medarametla and Ballikurava in Prakasam district and at Murikipudi, Maddirala, Rajapeta, Gopulavari Palem and some other villages in Chilaluripeta constituency around 6 AM , according to officials. Reports said tremors were felt twice at Naguluppulapadu village in succession. Locals in several villages said that belongings and utensils in the kitchen in several houses moved under the impact.
