Simran lands vital role in 'Trisha Illana Nayantara'

Chennai, Feb 24: Actress Simran will be essaying a significant role in composer-turned-actor G.V. Prakash Kumar-starrer "Trisha Illana Nayantara". She will join the sets of the film from March. "Even before the director narrated the story, the film's title intrigued me. I wanted to know more about it. And after I heard the narration, I really liked my character and agreed to do it. I start shooting from the second week of March," Simran told IANS. Simran, a popular southern actress in the 1990s, made a comeback to Tamil cinema in a cameo with 2013 Tamil romantic-comedy "Aaha Kalyanam". "I can't reveal much about my role in the film. But this time I play a lengthier role," she confirmed. Being directed by debutant Adhik Ravichandran, the film also stars "Kayal" fame Anandhi in the lead roles.
