HC directs AP Govt not to create problems for farmers

Hyderabad, Feb 23, 2015: The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad has on Monday directed the Andhra Pradesh government not to create problems in the agricultural activity of the farmers in the capital region of Guntur district. Hearing a petition filed by some farmers of the Undavalli and Tadepally Mandals, the court asked the AP Government to file counter with in three weeks. "Let the farmers go ahead with their agricultural activity. Don't create problems for them," the apex court of the state directed the authorities. The farmers have filed the petition challenging the land pooling policy and alleging harassment by government officials.
