Verbal duel in Assembly: Revanth questions KCR's absence, KTR counters

A debate on the injustice done to Telangana in the central budget was held in the Assembly today. During this debate, a verbal clash occurred between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister KTR. The CM questioned why KCR did not attend the crucial debate, criticizing him for not being present to hold the central government accountable. He mocked that it seemed like KCR was afraid of Modi.

Revanth Reddy accused KCR's family of trying to mislead the Assembly. He demanded BRS's stance on the injustice done to Telangana in the central budget. He sarcastically asked if the secret discussions in Delhi represented their views, alleging that Telangana was being wronged through secret deals. Revanth Reddy stated that they did not rise to power by invoking their fathers' and grandfathers' names but by their own efforts.

KTR's Retort on Rahul Gandhi

KTR mentioned that they had not received a copy of the resolution related to the debate. He stated that KCR's presence was unnecessary for the debate, implying that they were sufficient. He advised the CM to be patient and tolerant. KTR countered that the CM was talking about fathers and grandfathers and remarked that if they wanted, they could also say that the CM secured his position through a payment quota. He questioned if the CM's comments about rising through fathers' and grandfathers' names were directed at Rahul Gandhi.

KTR pointed out to the Speaker that the warnings seemed to be directed only at them and not at the ruling party.

Supporting the Debate

KTR emphasized that they fully supported the debate on the injustice done to the state in the central budget. He mentioned that Telangana faced severe injustice in the central budget and noted that Congress leaders stated the word Telangana was not even mentioned in Parliament because BRS was absent there.

Mocking 8 8=0

KTR sarcastically remarked that while typically 8 8 equals 16, in this case, it amounted to zero. He referred to the previous Lok Sabha elections where Congress and BJP each won 8 seats. He said that every child in Telangana understood the injustice done to them after seeing yesterday's budget. KTR demanded Revanth Reddy respond to his past comments, recalling that the former CM had said Telangana did not receive funds due to KCR's lack of rapport with the central government.

KTR mentioned that the Delhi attitude had now been understood. He asserted that they would fight against anyone who tried to trample on Telangana's rights. He stated that they had fought for Telangana's rights during the state's bifurcation and against Modi's government and would continue to fight. He concluded that the leader of the house should not make arbitrary criticisms.
