Two YSRCP MLCs skip Delhi protest, attend Legislative Council session

Amaravati: YSRCP leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to hold a protest in Delhi today, alleging that law and order in Andhra Pradesh has deteriorated. Jagan, who traveled to Delhi yesterday, claims that since the coalition government came to power, YSRCP leaders have been targeted with attacks and murders.

He alleged that 36 political killings within a short period since the TDP coalition took office, and has lodged a complaint with the Governor. Today, he is prepared to stage a protest in Delhi for the same reasons and plans to meet the Prime Minister and the President to file complaints.

Yesterday, Jagan and his MLAs and MLCs boycotted the Assembly and went to Delhi. However, two MLCs, Thumati Madhavarao and Vanka Ravindra, did not join Jagan in Delhi and instead attended the legislative council session, which has become a topic of discussion. Other leaders noticed their absence and engaged in talks about it, raising political speculations.
