KCR: All Hyderabadis are Telangana children

Hyderabad, Feb 19,2015 : Telangana Chief Minister KCR has said that all people staying in Hyderabad are the children of Telangana. Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, he said that Telangana Government treats and respects all people equally. "The Government considers all people as the children of Telangana. That is why we have ordered state funeral for veteran Tollywood producer D.Ramanaidu," he said, asking Hyderabad people to shed the feeling that they are settlers here. He said most of the people staying in Hyderabad came here generations back and have accustomed to the culture here. "I have a close friend by name Subba Rao who belongs to Krishna district. Whenever his children go to their native place in Krishna district for Sankranti festival, they used to tell the villagers that their home town is Hyderabad when asked by people," KCR said. "I hail from Siddipeta in Medak district but my grandson now claims he belongs to Hyderabad," he said, adding that he will soon conduct a meeting to discuss the issues of Hyderabad people.
