Tirumala temple doors give jitters to Archakas as keys jam locks
Hyderabad, Feb 19, 2015: TTD Archakas and lower rung staff developed jitters for a while when one of the keys got stuck up in the huge locks while opening the Bangaru Vakili, the Sanctum Sanctorum of Lord Venkateswara temple on Tirumala early Wednesday morning.
The main Archakas and supporting staff tried their best fiddling with the locks but failed to take out the key from the jinxed locks.
The staff got panicked as the time for Suprabhata Seva of the Lord Venkateswara was nearing and the visiting Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena left for the temple to participate in the Seva.
The panicked Archakas finally got in touch with the top officials who asked them to cut the locks with a gas cutter without delay. Immediately, the jinxed locks were removed using a gas cutter paving the way for the Archakas to open the huge doors and conduct Suprabhata Seva. The locks were later replaced with fresh set of locks.
