Chief Minister Chandrababu Launches Pension Distribution in Andhra Pradesh

For the first time since the establishment of the new government in Andhra Pradesh, pension distribution has commenced. On Monday morning, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu launched the 'NTR Bharosa' social pension scheme. He personally handed over the pensions at a beneficiary's home in Penumaka, located in the Mangalagiri constituency. Along with the standard pension of ₹4,000, an additional three-month increment of ₹3,000, amounting to a total of ₹7,000, was distributed. This marked the beginning of pension distribution across the state.

Minister Nara Lokesh accompanied Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Both were warmly welcomed by the locals. Following this, the Chief Minister handed over the pension to the beneficiary at their home. Today, the pension distribution will continue across the state. A total of 6.518 million beneficiaries will receive their pensions. The state government has allocated ₹4,408 crores for this purpose. Approximately 120,097 personnel are involved in the pension distribution process statewide. This initiative signifies the coalition government's commitment to fulfilling election promises within the first month of their term.

Home Delivery for Those Who Miss Out Today

The government aims to complete 100% distribution on the first day. As part of the plan, each secretariat employee is tasked with distributing pensions to 50 beneficiaries. In areas where the number of beneficiaries exceeds this, Anganwadi and ASHA workers will assist. For those unable to receive their pension on the first day, village and ward secretariat staff will deliver it to their homes the following day.
