TDP candidate Sugunamma wins Tirupati seat by majority of 1,16,524 votes

Tirupati, Feb 16, 2015: TDP candidate Sugunamma has won the Tirupati assembly by-election with a majority of 1,16,524 votes over her nearest Congress rival Sridevi. Sridevi has lost her deposit as she was polled a meager 9628 votes. Sugunamma has thanked the voters for her victory and assured the people that she would be always available to people for solving their issues. Sridevi had alleged before the by-poll that TDP leaders had resorted to rigging in the by poll held for the Tirupati constituency.
