Vote Counting Begins Across the Country Including AP and Telangana
Hyderabad: A crucial phase in the nation has begun. The vote counting process for the general elections commenced at 8 AM this morning. Elections were held for 543 Lok Sabha seats and the assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, and counting has started today. Initially, the counting of postal ballots will be undertaken. From 8:30 onwards, the counting of EVM votes will begin.
If two candidates receive an equal number of votes, the winner will be determined by drawing lots. Special counters have been set up for the counting of postal ballots.
In Andhra Pradesh, vote counting is being conducted for 175 assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats. In Telangana, vote counting is underway for 17 Lok Sabha seats. Central forces and state police have been deployed at the counting centers. A three-tier security system has been established at the counting centers.
