Sports complex for the disabled to come up in Visakha

Visakha, Feb 13, 2015: Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaavar Chand Gehlot announced here on Friday that the second regional sports complex in the country for the disabled will be established at Visakhapatnam. This will be the first of its kind in South India, he said, adding that the Centre has decided to create five regional centres with sports facilities for disabled persons. These centers will have residential facilities too. The Centre has taken the decision inspired by the success of the Indian teams in the Paralympics and World Cup Cricket for the visually impaired, he said.
