Chandrababu Promises Rs. 4,000 Pension Immediately Upon Election Victory

At a public meeting in Markapuram, Prakasam district, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu announced that if elected, his administration would implement a pension of Rs. 4,000 starting from April. He criticized the current Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, claiming that by 2028, Reddy would only increase the pension by Rs. 250. Naidu questioned who truly supports the poor, reinforcing TDP's stance as an advocate for the underprivileged.

Naidu expressed outrage over the current state administration's handling of pensions, accusing the Chief Minister of creating conditions that lead to the suffering of the elderly by making it difficult for them to receive pensions directly at their homes. He argued that although there are 150,000 employees in secretariats and panchayats who could potentially distribute pensions to 40 people each at their homes, the elderly are instead forced to travel to secretariats without receiving the pensions.

He further criticized the process of depositing pensions directly into bank accounts, pointing out the challenges faced by the elderly in withdrawing money from banks. Naidu passionately stated his commitment to personally ensure the delivery of pensions at people's homes by the 1st of every month, emphasizing the duty of the government and civil servants not to inconvenience the people.
