Tirupati by-poll campaign ends, polling on Friday

Tirupati, Feb 11, 2015: Campaigning has come to an end in by-election to Tirupati assembly constituency. Polling will be held on Friday for the by-election wherein 14 candidates are in the fray including TDP and Congress candidates. While the YSRCP has kept off the by-poll which was necessitated following the death of TDP MLA Venkataramana, Congress has also announced it will retire from the contest if the Government assures that it will implement the TDP poll promises. However, Congress condition to retire from the poll fray on the last day of campaign has not gone down well with the TDP leadership. One has to wait and watch if the TDP leadership will give an assurance as demanded by PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy.
