Nominations Process Concludes in Andhra Pradesh for Upcoming General Elections

The nomination process for the general elections scheduled for May 13 in Andhra Pradesh concluded today. The deadline for filing nominations ended at 3 PM this afternoon.

In Andhra Pradesh, a total of 4,210 candidates have filed nominations for the 175 Assembly seats available. Additionally, 731 candidates have submitted nominations for the 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

The scrutiny of nominations is set to take place tomorrow, April 26, and candidates will have the opportunity to withdraw their nominations until April 29.

It is well-known that the general elections this year are being conducted in seven phases across the country. Andhra Pradesh will participate in the fourth phase, where both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be held simultaneously.

The seventh and final phase of polling is scheduled for June 1, followed by the nationwide counting of votes on June 4.
