Hyderabad, Feb 11,2015: MAA TV Channel has announced today that it has tied up with Star TV net work to have a broadcasting alliance for exchanging programming content.
Announcing the business alliance at a press meet here, MAA TV Chairman Nimmagadda Prasad said that the super alliance between the two channels is aimed at broadcasting much more quality and interesting content to its viewers.
Refusing to disclose the financial implications of the business tie-up, STAR TV representatives said that all MAA TV properties will be acquired by STAR TV net work in due course of time as part of the business tie up.
The business alliance transfers 49 per cent stake in MAA TV channel to STAR TV network.
The STAR TV Net work said it is happy to have a tie up with MAA TV management as Telugu TV programs are the second largest telecasting market in the country. With this tie-up, MAA will now become part of the STAR TV network.
Actors Akkineni Nagarjuna and mega star Chiranjeevi, the stakeholders in MAA TV, also addressed the press meet.
