Kurnool: During an electoral campaign in Kurnool District, YS Congress President YS Sharmila launched severe criticisms against the YSRCP and BJP. She highlighted the unfulfilled job promises, questioning the BJP's initial claim of generating two crore jobs annually over the past decade. Sharmila pointed out that even a minimum of one lakh jobs have not materialized in Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing the state's unemployment issue, she lambasted YSRCP for misleading the unemployed youth with empty promises similar to the BJP's. Sharmila used an analogy comparing Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's inaction to the mythological character Kumbhakarna, noting that even Kumbhakarna wakes up for six months, whereas Jagan had been inactive for over four and a half years.

Sharmila recounted Jagan's previous election promise of filling 2.30 lakh vacant jobs, accusing him of failing to meet his commitments even after five years. She expressed outrage over the state having 23,000 vacant teacher positions, criticizing the delayed issuance of the DSC (District Selection Committee) notification for teacher recruitment, which was only announced two months before the elections, covering merely 6,000 posts.

The YSR Congress leader accused Jagan Mohan Reddy of only becoming active with the approaching elections, questioning whether he had ever genuinely engaged with the public regarding employment or housing issues before. She sternly asked if the people who voted based on trust had seen any of their expectations fulfilled.
