Exit Poll Ban in Effect Until June 1, Confirms Election Commission
April 19( Friday) marks the first phase of polling across the country. In light of this, the Election Commission of India issued a notification today stating a ban on exit polls due to the ongoing elections.
According to the Election Commission, no exit polls may be conducted or publicized from 7:00 AM on April 19 until 6:30 PM on June 1. The Commission emphasized that under the Representation of the People Act, no election results, surveys, or opinion polls should be displayed on any electronic media during this period.
