Supreme Court Postpones 'Cash for Vote' Case Hearing to July 24

The "Cash for Vote" case, a significant legal issue in the Telugu states, saw its trial postponed today in the Supreme Court. YSR Congress Party MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy filed two separate petitions requesting that Chandrababu Naidu be named as an accused and the investigation be handed over to the CBI. Despite Telangana's Anti-Corruption Bureau mentioning Chandrababu Naidu's name 22 times in the charge sheet, he has not been listed as an accused, the petition highlighted. However, at the request of a lawyer representing Telangana, the court has decided to defer the hearing until July 24.

In this context, Ramakrishna Reddy accused Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy of collusion, claiming that this is their final chance as there will be no more postponements. He criticized the seven-year delay in advancing the case, attributing it to various reasons managed by the system to stall the proceedings. He stated that despite all evidence, the inevitability of punishment for Chandrababu Naidu in this case is apparent.
