New case filed against KCR's brother's son, Kannarao

Hyderabad: Another case has been registered against Kannarao, the son of KCR's brother, by the Banjara Hills police in Telangana. A software employee has alleged that he was threatened and coerced into giving money by Kannarao. According to the complaint, an FIR has been filed against Kannarao and five others. The victim, Vijayavardhan, a software employee, claimed he approached Kannarao to resolve an issue. However, through a woman named Nandini, Kannarao learned that Vijayavardhan possessed significant amounts of jewelry and cash.

As per the allegations, Kannarao and his associates confined the victim in a guest house and assaulted him to extort money. The police officer, Bhujangarao, and ACP Katta Sambayya were informed that Kannarao threatened to jail Vijayavardhan unless he handed over the money. Consequently, Vijayavardhan said he was forced to give Kannarao Rs. 60 lakhs in cash and 97 tolas of gold. Following this, Vijayavardhan reported the incident to the Banjara Hills police.

Responding to Vijayavardhan's complaint, the police registered an FIR against Kannarao, Nandini, and three others. Additionally, it was noted that Kannarao had previously been implicated and arrested in a land dispute case at Manneguda. This is yet another legal challenge facing the former Chief Minister KCR's family member.
