250 students fall sick after consuming iron tablets in Warangal district

Warangal, Feb 10, 2015: Two fifty students fell sick and were hospitalised after officials gave them iron tablets at a Government school at Dharmaram in Warangal district on Tuesday. A total number of 750 students were administered the iron tablets as part of a routine exercise. But 250 students showed adverse reactions after consuming the tablets and were rushed to various hospitals at Warangal in three buses. Reports said the condition of nearly 100 students is causing concern. Senior officials are thinking of shifting them to Hyderabad hospitals.
