Jana Sena Secures 'Glass Tumbler' Symbol: AP High Court Rules in Favor

Amaravati: In a significant legal victory for the Jana Sena Party, the Andhra Pradesh High Court dismissed a petition challenging the allocation of the "glass tumbler" symbol to the party, reaffirming that the symbol rightfully belongs to them. The court disclosed this decision on Tuesday.

The contention arose when the National People's Congress Party petitioned the court, arguing that the Election Commission's (EC) assignment of the glass tumbler symbol to Jana Sena was contrary to its regulations. After a thorough examination, the High Court reserved its decision, which was eventually delivered in favor of Jana Sena on Tuesday.

The allocation of the glass tumbler symbol has been a contentious issue, particularly since the EC included it in their list of free symbols available to political parties. This decision sparked a legal battle between the Jana Sena Party and the National People's Congress Party, drawing significant attention.

With the latest ruling from the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the Election Commission is expected to issue orders soon, officially assigning the glass tumbler symbol to the Jana Sena Party. The decision has been met with joy among Jana Sena supporters.
