Kadapa: In a sharp criticism aimed at YS Sharmila and Suneetha, their auntya, Vimala, sister of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, expressed her anguish over their public statements, accusing them of tarnishing the family's reputation. Vimala was deeply troubled by the way her nieces spoke publicly, which she felt was degrading to their family's honor. She questioned if they had witnessed the murder of Vivekananda Reddy by Avinash Reddy, challenging the legitimacy of accusations without proper judicial verdicts, and highlighted the ongoing suffering of her brother Bhaskar Reddy, who has been in prison for a year without having committed any crime.
She accused Sharmila and Suneetha of dragging even the Chief Minister into the controversy regarding Vivekananda Reddy's death and was upset that they were campaigning for the cancellation of Avinash Reddy's bail, ignoring his family's plight. She lamented how the family unity was being compromised, emphasizing the need for solidarity among family members when faced with external adversaries.
Vimala also stressed that she held no personal vendetta against Jagan Mohan Reddy, pointing out that her affection for Vivekananda Reddy was greater than that of Sharmila and Suneetha. She asserted that their family has never indulged in the cruel practice of revenge, even in the past, following the murder of Raja Reddy, reflecting a different ethical stance from earlier factional practices within their community.
