Andhra Pradesh Government Sends Proposal to Tesla, Invites Elon Musk to Set Up Plant

The Government of Andhra Pradesh (AP) has initiated efforts to attract leading electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla to set up a unit in the state. The state government has sent proposals inviting Tesla to establish their manufacturing plant in AP, with officials confirming that two emails have already been sent to the company.
The government highlighted to the Tesla delegation the availability of necessary land for industrial purposes, particularly mentioning that ample land is available near the Kia plant in Anantapur district. This location is strategically close to Bangalore, Chennai, and Krishnapatnam Port, enhancing its logistical advantages.
Furthermore, the government expressed its readiness to facilitate the acquisition of land from private individuals if necessary to secure Tesla's investment. An official noted that on the 22nd of this month, Elon Musk is scheduled to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, due to the election code of conduct, details of what will be discussed at this meeting might not be disclosed publicly.
