IPS Officer Kolli Raghuramireddy Appointed as Electoral Police Observer in Assam

The Election Commission has appointed IPS officer Kolli Raghuramireddy as the Electoral Police Observer in Assam. These orders were issued on Monday evening. Until the last elections, only general observers and expenditure observers were deployed in elections. However, with the intention of conducting the elections more securely, the Election Commission has also appointed a 'Police Observer'. As part of this, several officers from the state have been sent as observers to other states.

Kolli Raghuramireddy has been assigned responsibilities as the Police Observer for 10 Assembly constituencies in Assam. He will be based in Guwahati, the state capital, and carry out his duties from there. Upon Jagan's accession to power, Kolli was appointed as one of his close officers. He headed the SIT that was formed to investigate the capital land issues and was the officer who arrested TDP chief and former CM Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development scam.

Raghuramireddy also holds the position in the Vigilance and Enforcement Department. He has also been appointed as the DG of the Drug Control Administration. Recently, he conducted inspections at the college and residence of former minister P Narayana in that capacity. Now, Kolli Raghuramireddy has suddenly been sent to another state.
