Amaravati: In light of the Election Commission's restrictions on volunteers, uncertainty has clouded the distribution of pensions in Andhra Pradesh. Against this backdrop, TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu has penned a letter to the Election Commission today.

In his letter, Chandrababu has requested the Commission to instruct the state government to commence the distribution of pensions. He has appealed for measures to be taken to ensure that pensions are distributed by the secretariat and other staff members, particularly emphasizing home delivery of pensions. Chandrababu Naidu has accused the CEO of SERP of conspiring against the pension distribution in his letter.

The election schedule was announced on March 16, and the election code of conduct came into effect from that day. In this context, the Election Commission's directive to prevent volunteers from distributing pensions has sparked significant political controversy.

While YSRCP leaders criticize Chandrababu for lodging a complaint against the volunteers, leading to the halt of pension distribution, TDP leaders question why the Election Commission's decision is being attributed to Chandrababu. TDP leadership accuses YSRCP leaders of deliberately delaying the distribution of pensions, intending to foster public resentment against TDP.
