Gold prices plunge

Hyderabad, Feb 9: Gold prices nose dived by Rs. 410 to trade at Rs. 27,790 per 10 grams on Monday at the bullion market due to lower global demand at prevailing levels. Silver too plunged by Rs. 820 to trade at Rs. 37,530 per kg on poor offtake by coin makers and industrial units. Traders said depreciating rupee that slipped to Rs. 62.07, capped the losses with weak rupee making imports costlier.
