Samantha gives way for Rakul Preet Singh in Ram Charan's film

Hyderabad, Feb 8, 2015: Actor Ram Charan's next film, written together by Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan and to be directed by Srinu Vaitla, will have Rakul Preet Singh as the leading lady instead of Samantha as proposed earlier. Reports said that Samantha was replaced at the last minute due to budgetary constraints. The producers first proposed Shruti Haasan for the leading lady role but later replaced her with Samantha. Again at the last minute, the producers dropped her and replaced her with Rakul Preet Singh though Samantha showed much interest over the script and her role.
