Yanamala rules out Kurnool as second capital city

Kurnool, Feb 8, 2015:Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu made it clear on Sunday that the Government has no plans to make Kurnool second capital city. Responding to the demand of Rayalaseema Hakkula Vedika led by former minister T.G.Venkatesh that Kurnool town should be declared second capital city to avoid any agitation in the future, Yanamala told reporters that Government is not considering any such proposal. The Minister was in Kurnool to participate in some official programmes. He said the forthcoming budget will reflect the promises made by Chandrababu Naidu during the elections. "We will make necessary provisions in the budget to fulfill various promises given to the people," he disclosed. To a question on the PRC recommendations, he said a decision will be taken on the issue after discussing it in Cabinet meeting.
