BRS leader Aroori Ramesh joins BJP

Hyderabad: Aroori Ramesh, a senior leader of the BRS and the party's district president for Warangal, has joined the BJP. He was formally inducted into the BJP in the presence of the BJP state president and Union Minister Kishan Reddy on Sunday morning. Speaking on the occasion, Aroori Ramesh announced his decision to work alongside Prime Minister Modi and state president Kishan Reddy, praising the Prime Minister's decade-long effort in leading the country on the path of development. He also expressed his commitment to work with BJP workers in Warangal district for the party's cause.

While the event was expected to be attended by more BJP state leaders, their involvement in the Lok Sabha election campaign led to their absence, as explained during the ceremony. Aroori Ramesh mentioned he would personally visit BJP leaders Bandi Sanjay, Arvind, Eatala Rajender, among others. He and his followers raised slogans "Jai Bharat, Jai Modi" during the event.

Aroori Ramesh's party switch has been marked by dramatic developments recently. Just a few days before his induction into the BJP, arrangements were made for his joining. However, during a press conference to announce this, BRS leaders forcibly moved him from Warangal to Hyderabad. At one point, BJP leaders intercepted the car at Jangaon, and in the scuffle, Aroori Ramesh's shirt was torn, after which he pleaded, with tears, to be let go.

Following a meeting with former CM KCR in Hyderabad, Aroori spoke to the media, affirming his continuation in the BRS and stating he would not contest in the Lok Sabha elections. He dismissed the rumors of joining BJP as baseless. However, the very next day after meeting KCR, Aroori secretly traveled to Delhi and met with BJP leaders. After resigning from BRS on Saturday, he announced his joining the BJP on Sunday.
