Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has responded to the arrest of BRS MLC Kavitha, criticizing it as an electoral stunt. This statement comes as his administration is about to complete 100 days in office, during which he held a press conference with his ministers. In his speech, he reminded that BRS supremo KCR did not condemn his daughter's arrest. He questioned how KCR's silence should be interpreted and also commented that both KCR and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have remained silent on the arrest, suggesting a strategy behind their silence. He alleged that after the involvement of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Modi has shown up, implying a coordinated action between the ED and Modi recently.

Reddy accused the BJP and KCR's family of orchestrating a liquor scam as if it were a serial drama and described Kavitha's arrest as a mere drama played by the BJP and BRS. He noted that this development occurred just one day before the election schedule announcement, hinting at an ulterior motive. At a time when surveys suggest that the Congress party is poised to win 12 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, he accused both parties of engaging in petty politics to undermine the Congress. He reiterated that the arrest was merely an electoral stunt and criticized Prime Minister Modi for doing nothing significant for Telangana. He disapproved of Modi's announcements as trivial and stated that Modi, having insulted Telangana, has no right to seek votes in the state.
