Kavitha claims illegal arrest in Court over Liquor scam allegations

New Delhi: BRS MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla, facing allegations in the Delhi liquor scam, was brought into the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials. While being taken into the court hall, Kavitha made critical comments, stating that she was illegally arrested and that her fight would continue. On the other side, lawyers representing Kavitha and the ED were presenting their arguments in court.

The ED has identified Kavitha as a key figure in the South Group involved in the liquor scam and has requested the court to take her into custody for further interrogation. A remand report was also submitted to the court.

Amidst this, there is tension over what decision the court will make, whether Kavitha will be jailed or granted bail, which is expected to be clarified shortly.
