Hyderabad: A tragic incident occurred in America, claiming the life of Venkataramana Pittala (27), a student from Telangana, in a jet ski accident. The accident happened when two jet skis collided near Wisteria Island, resulting in Pittala's death. He had rented one of the jet skis and was using it in a floating playground when it was struck by another jet ski, driven at high speed by a 14-year-old.
Venkataramana hailed from Kazipet, Telangana, and had earned his Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from NTR University of Health Sciences in Andhra Pradesh. He went to America for higher studies and was pursuing a Master's degree in Health Informatics at Purdue University in Indianapolis.
He was just two months away from completing his studies. Efforts are being made to transport Venkataramana's body back to India. This year, the number of Indian students who have lost their lives in various incidents in America has reached eight.
