Amaravati: The wave of resignations continues within the YSRCP, the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh. Following the resignations of several MPs and MLAs, for the first time, a minister is bidding farewell to the YSRCP.

Minister Gummanur Jayaram announced today his resignation from the YSRCP. He clarified that he is resigning from his ministerial position as well as from the party membership. He also made it clear that he is resigning from his MLA post. He revealed his plans to join the TDP at the 'Jai Ho BC' event taking place today in Mangalagiri.

Gummanur Jayaram expressed his dissatisfaction with the policies followed by CM Jagan. He indirectly criticized, saying that there are two priests in Tadepalli and Jagan has become like an idol in a temple. He commented that whatever Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Dhanunjaya Reddy say becomes the scripture for Jagan.

Jayaram mentioned that Jagan had asked him to contest as the MP from Kurnool in the upcoming elections, a proposal he did not agree with. He announced his intention to contest the upcoming elections as a TDP candidate from Guntakal.
