Chandrababu Naidu writes DGP asking for details of cases filed against him

Chandrababu Naidu, the chief of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has written a letter to the Director General of Police (DGP) of Andhra Pradesh, requesting details of the cases filed against him across various police stations in the state. This request comes ahead of the notification for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. 

Chandrababu Naidu's letter emphasizes the importance of disclosing these details as part of the nomination process for candidates, highlighting that failing to disclose case details could potentially disqualify a winning candidate. He expressed concern over the possibility of the ruling party manipulating the situation to its advantage, which underscores the preemptive nature of his request to the DGP.

Key points from Chandrababu Naidu's letter include the requirement by the Election Commission of India for every candidate to declare any cases against them at the time of their nomination. Chandrababu, positioning himself as a responsible opposition leader, mentioned his ongoing fight over the last five years against public issues and accused the government of implicating him in various false cases. 

He also pointed out the difficulty in personally visiting police stations to gather this information, thus asking for the DGP's office to provide the details. Furthermore, copies of this letter have been sent to the Superintendents of Police (SPs) of all districts, along with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
