TS imposes fresh VAT on petrol, diesel

Hyderabad, Feb 5: In an unprecedented manner, Telangana government has increased VAT on petrol and diesel in the state. Government increased VAT from 22.25 per cent to 27 per cent on diesel and from 31 per cent to 35.25 per cent on petrol in the state. When all over the country consumers were enjoying lower fuel prices, consumers in Telangana however would get a double whammy as soon prices of all consumer goods and transport services will increase manifold.
