IndiGo joins airfare war

Hyderabad, Feb 5: Airfares are plunging in India must to the happiness of frequent flyers. On Thursday, with budget carrier IndiGo announcing all-inclusive fares beginning at Rs 1,499, the airline has given a new push to airfare wars in India. Its rival SpiceJet had earlier introduced a series of discounted offers. In comparison to SpiceJet's 'Special Valentine' offer of Rs 1,599, IndiGo is offering a starting price of Rs 100 for air tickets. However, under IndiGo's promotional offer, seats are available on some routes only including Delhi-Jaipur. Further, the bookings are valid for 90 days only. In the case of SpiceJet's promotional offer, which is open till February 6, it is applicable for travel between February 14 and April 15.
