Chandrababu Naidu Criticizes CM Jagan for Mortgaging Andhra Pradesh's Self-Respect and State Secretariat

Amaravati: TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu criticized Chief Minister Jagan for allegedly mortgaging the self-respect of the Telugu people and the state secretariat for ₹370 crores. Through a tweet, he questioned the government's decision to mortgage the state secretariat, accusing the Jagan government of not just mortgaging buildings but the self-respect of the people of Andhra Pradesh. He blamed Jagan for destroying the prestigious brand of Andhra Pradesh and urged the people to reflect on the losses being incurred under this incompetent and arrogant administration.

On the occasion of former Lok Sabha Speaker Balayogi's death anniversary, Chandrababu paid tributes and remembered Balayogi's services to the marginalized and weaker sections, highlighting his journey from a humble background to becoming the Lok Sabha Speaker, calling him an inspirational figure.

TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh also criticized Chief Minister Jagan for leading Andhra Pradesh towards a situation akin to Sri Lanka, due to his government's heavy borrowing. Lokesh expressed concern over the state's financial condition, stating that even economists are shocked by Jagan's borrowing spree, which has plunged the state into a debt of ₹12.5 lakh crores, sparing not even the secretariat.

He remarked that even Sri Lanka, despite its deep financial crisis, did not mortgage its governance center, indicating that comparing Andhra Pradesh under Jagan's rule to Sri Lanka might even seem an understatement. Lokesh criticized Jagan for continuously degrading the state's reputation with each step.
