TRS MP Kavita seeks apology from Naidu for 'alien' remarks

Hyderabad, Feb 4, 2015: TRS MP and daughter of Telangana Chief Minister Kavita has demanded an apology from AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for making humiliating remarks against Telangana. Chandrababu told state government employees on Tuesday that sitting in Hyderabad and ruling AP was giving him a feeling of administering the state sitting in a foreign country. Objecting to his comments, Kavita told journalists here on Wednesday that Chandrababu should withdraw his remarks and tender an apology. Kavita made this demand during the launching of the party membership drive at Telangana Bhavan. "Through his remarks, he had humiliated Telangana people. He should apologize. Or else, he should go to Vijayawada and rule his state sitting there," Kavita said angrily. When he is comparing Hyderabad to a foreign country , how can he say that TDP will win in next elections in both states, she asked. "From the very beginning, we have been arguing that Hyderabad as joint capital would not be accessible to Andhra Pradesh people," she observed.
