YS Sharmila Discusses Electoral Alliance with Left Parties in Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati: The opposition INDIA Alliance is negotiating seat allocations across states. The Congress Party, a major member of the India Alliance, is discussing seat sharing in various states with its allied parties. Today, in Andhra Pradesh, state Congress President YS Sharmila met with leaders from the CPI and CPM.
From the CPI, Ramakrishna, Jalli Wilson, Akkineni Vanaja, and Nageswar Rao attended the meeting. From the CPM, Srinivas Rao, Venkateswara Rao, and Gafoor were present. Sharmila has already announced that they will contest in all 175 Assembly and 25 MP seats in AP. However, taking into consideration the partners in the India Alliance, discussions were held today regarding the allocation of seats to allied parties, which Sharmila tweeted about.
"The Congress Party is the only party fighting for the rights of the state of Andhra Pradesh. As part of this journey, we discussed issues regarding alliance and joint struggles with the left parties. Together, we can achieve anything. We will soon decide on a joint action plan and seat allocation. The ruling and opposition parties in the state have become slaves to the BJP, undermining our rights. Only with the Congress Party can we ensure the welfare of the state and fulfilment of the state bifurcation promises," clarified Sharmila.
