Ministers, officials bitten by ego: KCR

Hyderabad, Feb 3, 2015: In an unusual comment that may cause embarrassment to several politicos and bureaucrats, Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao remarked on Tuesday that most of the ministers and officials are bitten by ego and asked them to change their attitude. Participating in the foundation stone laying ceremony of IIPH here,KCR lambasted the bureaucrats, ministers and police officers saying all of them feel that nothing moves in Hyderabad without their involvement. "The entire city of Hyderabad moves on its own like a society but police officials think they are the moving force behind it and political leaders behave as if they are the masters and others are their followers," KCR said and observed: "But that is not correct. Society moves on its own. The police set up is there as a mechanism just to correct the mistakes." He asked the officials and political leaders to shed their egoistic feelings. "I am confident they will change," he said , exuding confidence.
