AP Cabinet decides to regularise all illegal constructions
Hyderabad, Feb 2, 2015: The AP Cabinet took several decisions at its marathon five hour meeting here on Monday with the major decisions being regularisation of illegal constructions and conducting EAMCET separately for students in the state.
While the cabinet's decision to conduct EAMCET separately has effectively ended the controversy with Telangana on the issue and given clarity to the students, its decision to regularise illegal constructions in the state may become controversial in the back drop of a hue and cry raised by some sections over the illegal structures on Krishna flood banks.
The Cabinet has entrusted the responsibility of conducting EAMCET to the JNTU, Kakinada.
The cabinet has also decided to encourage solar power generation on house tops and implement 'Polam Pilustondi' program with more vigour.
The Cabinet, presided over by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, has also decided to take strong steps to drive away Swine Flu from the state, conduct district wise reviews on loan waiver and initiate measures to reduce the number of accidents in the state besides cancelling cases filed on Samaikyandhra agitators.
The government has declared 1100 areas as accident-prone zones and directed transport department to take proper steps to reduce and prevent accidents which are on the rise in recent days.
The Cabinet has also resolved to constitute a Swachh AP Corporation to implement the Swachh Bharat program across the state.
