CM Revanth Reddy Focuses on Hyderabad Traffic Issues: Key Directives Issued

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has turned his attention to the traffic problems in the city of Hyderabad, issuing critical instructions to the concerned officials for resolving the issues. He ordered the immediate recruitment of an adequate number of home guards to overcome the shortage of personnel for traffic control. 

Emphasizing the importance of traffic management within the Hyderabad jurisdiction, he stated that the traffic department should prioritize this aspect and make arrangements for the recruitment of traffic home guards within three months. He also instructed to redeploy home guards currently working in various departments back to the traffic department to utilize their services for traffic control duties.

Revanth Reddy suggested utilizing law and order police for city traffic control duties during peak hours and proposed upgrading the existing traffic police stations to ensure they are staffed adequately. 

He stressed the need to focus on expanding roads and junctions in the city and to explore opportunities for constructing subways, underpasses, and surface ways similar to the LB Nagar junction at other busy junctions. He emphasized that personnel should be available independently of the automatic signal system.

To address the traffic problems, Revanth Reddy advocated for the construction of multi-level car parking centers and the development of a special parking policy. He called for a comprehensive plan for traffic control and management in Hyderabad, considering the city's development and future needs. 

He recommended assigning responsibilities to consultancies for specialized studies and conducting monthly meetings to review traffic issues and the measures needed to overcome them. Coordination between police officers of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda commissionerates and municipal zonal commissioners was advised to focus on traffic management.
