Customer hacks tea vendor to death over bill payment

Kadapa, Jan 29: A 25-year-old man named Maula hacked a tea vendor named Shiekh Rahim (48) to death for being told to pay the bill after drinking a hot cup of tea. Though the incident took place on wednesday, Shiekh Rahim succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, according to sources. Shiekh Rahim, who hails from Machampeta, had been running a tea stall in Kadapa. On Wednesday, sources said, Maula had consumed tea at Rahim's tea stall. When Rahim is said to have asked Maula to pay for the tea he had consumed, in a fit of anger he attacked Rahim with an axe. Rahim was rushed to RIMS hospital in Kadapa, where he is said to have succumbed to his injuries. Maula has fled from the town. Kadapa police have registered a case and are on the look out for Maula.
