Sweta Basu: Except Manchu Vishnu, no one offered me roles

Hyderabad, Jan 26, 2015: Crestfallen actress Sweta Basu has lamented that Bollywood directors who had expressed support to her and promised to give her roles in their new movies at the time of her controversial arrest are now maintaining silence. "When I was arrested, several film personalities promised to give me roles but none of them has put it into practice. Except hero Manchu Vishnu, no one has come forward to keep their word," Sweta Basu Prasad told journalists on the sidelines of a promo program of a movie here. Even on the role offered by Manchu Vishnu, talks are still going on, she revealed, exuding confidence that it would meterialise. "I am ready to act in movies of any language including Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. I don't have any PROs to deal on my behalf. Those who want to give me roles can contact me directly," she said.
