KU violence: Police book cases against 28 students

Warangal, Jan 24: Police are reported to have booked cases against all 28 students who are said to have gone on a rampage on Kakatiya University (KU) campus on Friday. Police registered cases against the students under sections IPC 148, 342, 352, 353, 448 and 427 read with 149. Police said the students will be produced in court shortly, police said. In a related development the university authorities shut down the all the hostels on the campus. Authorities also suspended classwork and put off all the examinations indefinitely, university sources said.
