NDA govt committed to develop AP capital, says Venkaiah Naidu

Vijayawada, Jan 24: The NDA government is definitely committed for the development of the new capital region of Andhra Pradesh, said Urban Development minister M Venkaiah Naidu here on Saturday. He said this while participating in a seminar on 'Make in India' initiative that was organised by Andhra Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Venkaiah Naidu said the central government has told the state government to submit department-wise estimates so that funds can be allocated. He also said that the central government was looking at the possibility of considering the special status for AP as specified in the AP Re-organisation Act. Naidu clarified that other states that have also been demanding special status will first be convinced and only then implement the special status to AP.
